Sztuka’s first win shakes up Eurocup-3 standings at Paul Ricard

June 22, 2025 by

The third round of the 2025 Eurocup-3 season at Circuit Paul Ricard reshuffled the title fight once more, with Kacper Sztuka emerging as the new championship leader following a stellar weekend that saw him claim his maiden series victory and his fifth podium in just eight races — the highest tally among all drivers this season.

Sztuka’s impressive form in France marks a major turning point in his campaign, making him the third different driver to lead the standings in as many rounds and underlining the fiercely competitive nature of this year’s field.

For Mattia Colnaghi, Paul Ricard was the perfect stage to bounce back after a challenging outing in Portugal. The Italian driver returned to winning ways, becoming the first driver this year to score multiple victories, reaffirming his status as one of the main protagonists in the fight for the title.

The weekend also crowned a new race winner: Garrett Berry, who delivered a commanding drive to triumph in Saturday’s Sprint Race, adding his name to the prestigious Eurocup-3 winners’ list and cementing his reputation as one to watch in the second half of the season.

Elsewhere, there were personal milestones to celebrate. Francisco Macedo secured his first-ever Eurocup-3 podium, while Emerson Fittipaldi Jr. made a strong return to the rostrum for the first time this year. Consistent podium finishes by Ernesto Rivera, who arrived in France as the points leader after Portimão, and Valerio Rinicella kept both firmly in the title hunt, ensuring the top four in the standings are now separated by a mere 12 points — a testament to the tight battle brewing at the front.

After three rounds, Sztuka now leads the standings with 104 points, just ahead of Mattia Colnaghi and Ernesto Rivera, tied on 99 points, while Valerio Rinicella sits fourth with 90 points. Among the teams, MP Motorsport heads the leaderboard with 209 points, holding an advantage over Griffin Core by Campos Racing (175 points) and Campos Racing (159 points).

The championship resumes in just two weeks’ time with Round 4 at the iconic Monza Circuit, where the fight for supremacy will continue from July 4–6.
