The 2026 Eurocup-3 season reaches its fourth round at the iconic Autodromo Nazionale Monza, with championship leader James Egozi arriving in commanding form. The Israeli driver has enjoyed an outstanding campaign so far, collecting 142 points, four victories, six podium finishes, five fastest laps and three pole positions from the first eight races of the season.
His closest challenger is rookie sensation Ean Eyckmans, who sits second on 86 points, leaving Egozi with a healthy 56-point advantage as the championship enters its second half. In the Teams’ Championship, Palou Motorsport also leads the way with 216 points, holding the same 56-point margin over MP Motorsport after the opening three events.
A competitive field of 30 drivers will take to the track at Monza, promising another thrilling weekend of racing at one of motorsport’s most legendary venues.
Known around the world as the “Temple of Speed”, Monza is one of the most iconic circuits in international motorsport. The historic 5.793 km layout features 11 corners and is renowned for its ultra-fast nature, with drivers spending around 80% of the lap at full throttle.
Long straights, heavy braking zones and famous corners such as Curva Grande, the Roggia chicane, Ascari and the final Parabolica make the Italian venue one of the biggest technical challenges of the season. Low-drag efficiency, top speed, braking stability and the ability to maximise the slipstream will be crucial factors in the fight for victory, with overtaking opportunities expected into the Rettifilo and Roggia chicanes throughout the weekend.
Track action begins on Friday with two Official Previous Test sessions, scheduled from 09:00 to 09:40 and 13:25 to 14:05. On Saturday, the first Qualifying session will take place from 09:00 to 09:20, before Race 1 gets underway at 12:35, running for 30 minutes plus one lap. The weekend concludes on Sunday with Qualifying 2 from 09:00 to 09:20, followed by Race 2 at 13:10, again contested over 30 minutes plus one lap.
