The Eurocup-3 season has ended, with Christian Ho crowned Rookie Champion and MP Motorsport winning the Team Championship title. However, due to incidents in the final round in Barcelona and subsequent appeals from some teams, no oficial champion can be declare at this time while the appeal process is ongoing.
Javier Sagrera faced last round with a 28-points lead over Christian Ho and ten more over his teammate Bruno del Pino.
Saturday kicked off with Emmo Fittipaldi dominating the first race, taking all available points by claiming his first Pole Position in Eurocup-3, as well as his first fastest lap and first victory.
The Brazilian held off challenges from Christian Ho, who finished second and cut into Javier Sagrera’s lead, as Sagrera ended the race in sixth place.
On Sunday, with the stakes clear, it was Ho who shone, taking Pole, victory, and fastest lap, doing everything he needed. However, Sagrera, relying on his experience, avoided risks and crossed the finish line again in sixth place, scoring points equivalent to fifth position, as neither Nikita Bedrin (3rd) nor Mari Boya (5th) blocked or scored points, since they were competing for the first time in the series this year.
With these results, Sagrera accumulated 250 points, just ahead of Christian Ho’s 248. The championship title, however, is not yet official, as there are two ongoing appeals regarding the results of both races in Barcelona, which could potentially change the overall standings.
