The curtain is set to fall on the 2025 Eurocup‑3 season as the championship lands at the Circuit de Barcelona‑Catalunya for its eighth and final round. With both the Drivers’ and Teams’ titles already wrapped up—by Mattia Colnaghi and MP Motorsport respectively—the focus now turns to the final battles for pride, podiums, and the all-important vice-champion honours.
With Colnaghi not taking part this weekend due to his debut in the Macau Grand Prix, the fight for second place overall comes into full focus. Valerio Rinicella and Ernesto Rivera enter the weekend as the leading contenders, but both Jesse Carrasquedo and Kacper Sztuka remain mathematically in the mix. With 56 points still on the table, including poles and fastest laps, the final classification is anything but settled.
Although the Teams’ crown is already in MP Motorsport’s hands, attention also shifts to the battle for second in the standings between Campos Racing and Griffin Core by Campos, adding another layer of competition to the weekend.
Barcelona offers a complete test of car and driver. The 4.6‑kilometre layout features a mix of high‑speed corners, long straights and technical braking zones—Turn 1, Turn 10 and the final chicane all offering real overtaking opportunities. Tyre management and aerodynamic balance will once again be crucial, particularly in the warmer midday race conditions expected this weekend.
Track activity begins with official test sessions on Thursday and Friday, giving teams two key days to refine set-up and gather data ahead of the competitive action. On Saturday, drivers will head straight into Qualifying 1 at 11:40, with Race 1 scheduled for 15:10. The final day of the season kicks off on Sunday with Qualifying 2 at 09:00, followed by the decisive Race 2 at 14:40, closing what has been one of the most competitive and unpredictable Eurocup‑3 campaigns to date.
As always, all sessions will be streamed live and free on the official Eurocup‑3 YouTube channel.
The titles are done. The fight isn’t. One last weekend. One final push.
