November 4, 2026 by

The 2026 Eurocup-3 season reaches its conclusion this weekend, 6–8 November, at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, with the Rookie Championship and the remaining overall podium positions still to be decided.

James Egozi arrives in Montmeló as the Drivers’ Champion, having secured the title at Circuito de Jerez–Ángel Nieto with two rounds to spare. The American has enjoyed an outstanding campaign with Palou Motorsport, accumulating 323 points, ten victories, 13 podium finishes and 11 fastest laps, establishing several new championship records.

His latest victory came at the Hungaroring, where he also claimed his fifth pole position of the season. Egozi has now secured at least one victory at every circuit visited by Eurocup-3 in 2026, with Barcelona offering the final opportunity to extend that record across all eight venues.

Hungary also marked a historic weekend for Palou Motorsport, which secured its first Eurocup-3 Teams’ Championship with a double victory. Heitor Dall'agnol celebrated his maiden win in Saturday’s opening race, before Egozi added another victory on Sunday to complete a successful weekend for the Spanish outfit.

René Lammers leads the Rookie Championship with 167 points, just one ahead of Ean Eyckmans (166), while Heitor Dall'agnol (164) sits only three points behind the leader. All three arrive in Barcelona with a realistic chance of claiming the title, particularly after a Hungarian weekend that saw Dall’Agnol secure his maiden victory and Eyckmans celebrate his first pole position.

The same three drivers are also involved in the battle for the remaining overall championship podium positions. Keanu Al Azhari currently holds second place with 178 points, but Lammers trails him by just 11, followed by Eyckmans and Dall’Agnol, respectively 12 and 14 points behind.

Located in Montmeló, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya features a 4.657-kilometre layout with 14 corners, combining high-speed sections with technical corners and heavy braking zones. Its long main straight leads into Turn 1, the circuit’s main overtaking opportunity, while the braking zone at Turn 10 offers another chance to gain positions.

The fast Turn 3 and the demanding final sector place particular emphasis on car balance, tyre management and precision. With the remaining championship positions separated by narrow margins, qualifying performance and overtaking opportunities could prove decisive.

The final weekend begins on Friday, 6 November, with two Official Previous Test sessions scheduled from 10:10 to 10:50 and from 13:30 to 14:10, giving teams their last opportunity to fine-tune their cars ahead of the decisive sessions. Saturday’s action gets underway with Qualifying 1 at 09:35, followed by the opening race of the weekend at 13:05 (30 minutes + 1 lap).

The final day of the season arrives on Sunday, with Qualifying 2 scheduled for 09:30 before Race 2 gets underway at 13:45 (30 minutes + 1 lap), bringing the 2026 Eurocup-3 campaign to its conclusion and determining the Rookie Champion and the remaining overall championship podium positions.
