Eurocup-3 is ready to take on one of the most iconic circuits in world motorsport as Silverstone hosts the fifth round of the 2026 season from 10 to 13 September. With Monza now behind and only four events remaining, the championship enters a decisive stage of the campaign on British soil.
Silverstone represents a completely different challenge to the Temple of Speed. Built on the site of a former Royal Air Force airfield and home to the first Formula 1 World Championship Grand Prix in 1950, the British venue is renowned for its extremely fast and flowing character.
The 5.891-kilometre Grand Prix layout features 18 corners and demands both aerodynamic efficiency and confidence from the drivers. High-speed sections such as Maggotts, Becketts and Chapel will put the Eurocup-3 cars to the test, while the run down Hangar Straight towards Stowe provides one of the circuit’s main overtaking opportunities.
Corners such as Copse also make Silverstone a particularly demanding circuit from an aerodynamic perspective, with stability and commitment through the high-speed sections playing a major role in lap time. The unpredictable British weather could add another variable to a weekend in which finding the right set-up from the very beginning will be essential.
The fifth round begins with James Egozi firmly in command of the Drivers’ Championship after a perfect weekend at Monza. Two victories in Italy took the American to 193 points and significantly extended his advantage at the top of the standings.
Ean Eyckmans is currently his closest challenger with 100 points, while the battle behind him remains extremely close. René Lammers occupies third with 89 points, only three ahead of Keanu Al Azhari on 86. Heitor Dall'agnol sits fifth with 68 points, followed by Alex Powell and Kacper Sztuka, tied on 62.
The Teams’ Championship also sees Palou Motorsport arrive in Great Britain with a significant advantage. The Spanish squad leads with 285 points after another strong weekend at Monza, with Mp Motorsport second on 207.
With Silverstone marking round five of eight, the British event represents an important moment in the championship. Egozi has built a considerable advantage, but with four rounds still to contest and the fight behind the leader remaining extremely close, there is still plenty at stake as Eurocup-3 enters the second half of its season.
Eurocup-3 track action begins on Friday at 08:45 local with the Official Previous Test, providing the drivers with one hour of running to adapt to the unique demands of Silverstone. Later that afternoon, the weekend moves straight into competitive action with Qualifying 1 at 14:45 local, followed just six minutes after the end of the session by Qualifying 2 at 15:08 local, with both 17-minute sessions determining the grids for the weekend’s two races.
Saturday will see the first race of the weekend get underway at 11:45 local, with Race 1 scheduled for 30 minutes plus one lap. The fifth round of the season will conclude early on Sunday morning, with Race 2 starting at 09:00 local, once again over a distance of 30 minutes plus one lap.
